Erythroxylum novogranatense (binomen a Georgio Hieronymo anno 1895 statutum, post Danielem Morris, qui anno 1889 sicut varietas Erythroxylum coca descripserat) est species fruticum ordinis Malpighialium, sub climate tropico in America Australi boreoccidentali endemica, ibi et in insulis Asiae meridio-orientalis culta. Incolae Americae australis folia huius plantae stimulantia masticare solent. Ex eisdem foliis pharmacum cocainum extrahitur.
In Peruvia septentrionali circa urbem Truxillum varietas huius speciei colitur, nomine Erythroxylum novogranatense var. truxillense (Rusby) Plowman.[1]
