Descriptio Lucila de María del Perpetuo Socorro Godoy Alcayaga, llamada Gabriela Mistral(al parecer por su admiración hacia Gabriele d’Annunzio y Frédéric Mistral) (Vicuña, 7 de abril de 1889 - † Nueva York, 10 de enero de 1957), fue una destacada poetisa, diplomática y pedagoga chilena, que bajo el seudónimo de Gabriela Mistral se destacó de forma especial en la literatura.
