Nicolaus Antonius Virgilio
Nicolaus Antonius Virgilio (natus Nicholas Anthony Virgilio Camdeni Novae Caesareae die 28 Iunii 1928; mortuus 3 Ianuarii 1989) fuit poeta haicuisticus Americanus qui Iaponicum poesis genus in Civitatibus Foederatis promovere solebat.
Virgilio fuit primus e tribus filiis Antonii Virgilio, violinista eruditi, et Rosae (Rose) Alemi, sarcinatricis. Adolevit Fairview in suburbio ubi plerumque eius vitae habitavit. In Classi Civitatum Foederatarum bello mundano secundo meruit, et gradum baccalaureatum in Universitate Temple Philadelphiae accepit, ubi hostis radiophonicus et disc jockey nomine "Nickaphonic Nick" ('Nico Nicaphonicus') fuit.
In haicu anno 1962 incidit in libro quem in bibliotheca Rutgers University-Camden invenit. Eius primum haicu prolatum in American Haiku magazina anno 1963 apparuit, ac nonnulla milia composuit, quorum multa non divulgata sunt.[1] Haicu scribere solebat ut "realia attingat."[2][3]
Infarctu cordis die 3 Ianuarii 1989 mortuus est cum colloquium interrogatorium de haicu pro CBS News Nightwatch programmate televisifico faceret. Corpus in sepulcreto Harleighiano Camdeni sepultum est.[4] "Lily," eius haicu fortasse notissimum, in eius monumento caelatum est:
