Antivirus est programma creatum ad protegendum computatrum a viris et aliis programmatibus nocivis. Semper saepenumero denuo integranda est usoribus cum remediis novis contra vira nova confectis.[1][2] Quamvis notio viri anno 1949 cogitavisse dici potest cum Iohannes von Neumann, physicus Hungaricus, commentarium "Theory of self-reproducing automata" divulgaret,[3] quamquam virus primum notum est "Creeper virus,"[4] quod DEC PDP-10 (genus computatri) anno 1971 affecit.
