Aristaeopsis edwardsiana, ab Hispanis carabinero appellata, est species Crustaceorum Decapodum in profundis aquis temperatis maris Mediterranei et oceani Atlantici orientali habitans, unde a piscatoribus propter gustum deliciosum quaeritur. Rarius in Italia, crebrius in Maroco, Algerio, Portugallia et Azoribus, Canariis et Hispania comeditur. Gadibus valde celebratur, ubi aristaeopsis e suo iure inferri solet: The prawns of Cadiz are very large and very fine ("squillae Gaditanae valde magnae valde bonae sunt"), dixit anno 1911 Nathaniel Newnham-Davis.[1]
