Babylonia (satrapia)
Appearance
Babylonia (Persice Bābiruš) fuit una e septem satrapiis principalibus Imperii Achaemenidarum, sicut a Jacobs (2006) enumerantur. Ad hanc satrapiam pertinuerunt et regio Babylonia ipsa et eae quae sequuntur: Sittacene, Arbelitis seu Sagartia Asagarta, Assyria Aθurā, Regio trans flumen Ebir-nāri (in qua Syria, Phoenicia, Palaestina, Cyprus), Cilicia. Herodoto si credideris Babylonia omnium satrapiarum maximum reditum Persarum regi conferebat.
