De Nomine[fontem recensere]

Whats goin' on in this article? If it sounds like the name in parentheses in Latin, shouldnt that be the name of the article? There is a precedent for choosing the latinized names of things over their native names yes? Im not pushing as if I am right, I honestly am not sure, it just seemed like it something wasnt quite right. CeleritasSoni 18:57, 5 Iulii 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Pacimontium" is nowhere attested. This kind of "helpful" glossing of toponyms seems to be a unique feature of Vicipaedia. If somebody were to supply en:Rudolfstetten-Friedlisberg with the equally "helpful" gloss "Mountain of Peace", that would, to express myself as politely as I can, cause some eyebrows to raise. --Neander 20:23, 5 Iulii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I stand with you on that one. There just doesnt seem to be the kind of uniformity here necessary, but then again there just isnt the man power for it either. I guess for now we just work with we have. Si esse cum una quam amas non-potes, mel, ama unam cum qua es =) CeleritasSoni 00:34, 6 Iulii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
