Disputatio:Gordonus Brown

Gordon
[fontem recensere]I moved back to "Gordon Brown" because I don't see any evidence that Gordon, when treated as a first name, has a Latin form "Gordonus". If there is evidence, let's cite it! Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:47, 5 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
- I would say, there are a few, ex. gr. [1] --Alex1011 13:56, 5 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
- OK. Nice one, Alex. We can put him back again, then. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 15:30, 5 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
The Labour Party
[fontem recensere]In this article, it is the Pars Operariorum and in the Antonius Blair article, it is called the Factio Laboris. I prefer Factio Laboris; Factio is more of a political word than Pars, Laboris sounds less communist than Operariorum (which I don't think is a standard word anyway) and doesn't have the later churchy connotations either.
Any other views? Ericbateson 11:48, 10 Augusti 2008 (UTC)
- Of those, I also prefer "Factio Laboris". Factio is our usual word for party, I think. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:39, 10 Augusti 2008 (UTC)
