Disputatio:Iacobus

Hmmm, if this page is goign to deal with both Iacob and Iacobus then there's no longer any need for Jakob. HOnestly that might be a better way to go, since there are so many languages that DON'T make the distinction. (Still, never ceases to amaze me how many of them DO) -Iustinus 23:19, 25 Ianuarii 2007 (UTC)
- I rather doubt the variant forms shown on this page (unlike most of those for Matthaeus and Matthias) came about through separate evolution, and so don't deserve to be considered etymologically separate names. I've certainly read many times that 'James' and 'Jacob' are the same name. Anyway, we only seem to use Iacobus in naming anybody on this wiki. Pantocrator 10:19, 26 Martii 2010 (UTC)
