Please confirm, if these translations are okay:

VCR => recordarium televisionalis

Washing maschine => machina lavationarum

Embedded Systems => systema inlectata (hint: lectus = bed)

My lexicons give VCR = videoexceptorium ("video-receiver") or magnetoscopium (calque of French magnétoscope) and washing machine = machina lavatoria. For embedded systems, possibly something like systemata incapsulata (singular systema incapsulatum). "inlectare" already means something else. The literal equivalent of 'embed' is 'incubare' but I don't know if the meaning of that word ever wandered in the same direction 'embed' did. —Myces Tiberinus 02:10 iun 6, 2005 (UTC)
