Armenian Adjective

[fontem recensere]

I've seen "Armenius", "Armenianus", "Armenicus", and "Armeniacus"...which should be used for formal articles? I assumed the third, though the first seems possible. Thoughts? Greatly appreciated! CeleritasSoni 23:51, 22 Iunii 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Armenius is used by classical authors (Cicero, Varro, Horatius, Ovidius), Armeniacus, by Plinius. "Armenianus" and "Armenicus" must be late formations. --Neander 00:23, 23 Iunii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lingua Armenia 'Armenian language' (Varro; and see Linguae Indoeuropaeae). --Neander 00:32, 23 Iunii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
