Imagines
[fontem recensere]Hi, maybe you want to use our template {{imago sine descriptione}} where you do not have a Latin text for an image. --Rolandus 20:20, 2 Ianuarii 2007 (UTC)
Translations
[fontem recensere]To whom are you making a request not to start an edit war?--Ioshus (disp) 16:56, 3 Martii 2007 (UTC)
- To the user who deleted all the Swedish names in the Finland article. Those names are relevant because they are official and the Latin names often derive from them. Aaker 21:40, 5 Martii 2007 (UTC)
I have not removed these translations, however, it would be better to have translations just on the pages about the cities itself and not redundant in such lists. So the translations should be on ...
but not on page Finnia. This would be easier to maintain. Otherwise, if someone corrects a spelling, he has to do this in many places. --Rolandus 22:01, 5 Martii 2007 (UTC)
- Well in that case, the Finnish names wouldn't be there either. In Nykarleby for example, almost 100% speak Swedish as native language. But i think the best is to keep the current version with both languages. Aaker 14:37, 7 Martii 2007 (UTC)
- I think Usor:88.112.104.104 is who made the deletion. I have no problem with local names. Polyglots we all are, by necessity at such a wiki.--Ioshus (disp) 14:41, 7 Martii 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
[fontem recensere]Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Aaker. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Aaker~lawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
