Docudrama (verbum Anglicum) vel ludus documentarius est genus programmaturae radiophonicae et televisificae, pelliculae pressae, et theatrum scaenicum, quod dramatizatas eventuum historicorum recreationes vehementius dicit. In scaena, theatrum documentarium aliquando appellatur.

Docudrama in nuclearibus eius argumenti elementis res gestas historicas notas adhibere conatur, gradui maiori vel minori licentiae dramaticae in singulis fortuitis concedens, et ubi lacunae in tabulis historicis inveniuntur. Dialogus vera hominum verorum verba comprehendere potest, ut in documentis historicis scripta sunt. Homines qui docudramata producunt aliquando pellculas eventuum renovatorum facere conantur in locis veris ubi res gestae factae sunt.

Docudrama, in quo fidelitas historica maximi momenti est, plerumque distinguitur a pellicula tantum in eventibus veris condita, locutione quae maiorum licentiae dramaticae gradum significat; et ex notione dramatis historici, categoriae latiore, quae actionem plerumque fictionalizatam in rebus historicis vel prae abscedentiis eventuum historicorum accidentem etiam comprehendere potest.

Vocabulum docudrama neologismus aliquando cum docufictione confunditur; dissimilis autem docufictionis, quae re vera est documentarium tempore reali factum, nonnulla elementa fictionalis adiciens, docudrama tempore post eventus quos depingit fit.
