Gruidae sunt familia magnarum avium cruribus collisque longis praeditis ordinis Gruiformium. Quindecim species in quattuor genera digeruntur. Ardeidis dissimiles, Gruidae collis porrectis volant. In omnibus orbis terrarum continentibus praeter Antarcticam et Americam Australem habitant.
