Xun Kuang (荀況, pinyin Xún Kuàng, natus in Zhao civitate circa 310 a.C.n. mortuusque in Chu civitate circa 235 a.C.n.; aut natus circa 314 a.C.n. mortuusque circa 217 a.C.n.,[1]), etiam late appellatus Xunzi (荀子, pinyin Xúnzǐ 'Magister Xun'), fuit philosophus Sinicus Confucianus aetate civitatum bellantium, qui se ad Centum Scholas Cogitationis contulit. Praeterea, librum Xunzi traditio ei attribuit. Eius dogmata auctoritate gravia erant in publicis civitatis dogmatibus domus Han, sed eius auctoritas per domum Tang contra Mencium decrevit.

Inter res quas commemorat sunt Confucius, Mencius, Zhuangzhi, linguistae, Mocius, Hui Shi, Sunlungus, Legalismus Sinicus, Shen Buhai, et Shen Dao.[2] Mentionem primam in historia Sinica facit Laocii,[3] vocabulisque Taoisticis utitur, quamquam eorum dogmata reicit.[4]
