Marsh ipse suos libros huic bibliothecae dono dedit, inter quos reperiuntur et libros circiter 10 000 Edwardi Stillingfleet quos Marsh pretio £2 500 emit. Primus bibliothecarius, Elias Bouhéreau, Rupellae nativus, qui e Francia anno 1695 fugit, bibliothecam suam de historia et religionibus Franciae necnon medicina addidit. Anno 1745 Iohannes Stearne episcopus libros suos bibliothecae Marsianae legavit.

Thomas Moore scriptor Hibernicus in hac bibliotheca librum Anacreonteorum perlegit et Anglice vertit; dicitur saepe a bibliothecario Thomasso Craddock (qui pater fuit Thomassi R. Craddock poëtae contubernalis) in bibliotheca noctu inclusus esse ut rapidius laborem finiret.[2]
